Candidate Statement

For too long, our people of Kelly Lake have been forgotten. We have fought to be recognized, yet we still lack the most basic services—housing, infrastructure, and the resources needed to support our families and future generations. Enough is enough. It’s time for real change.

As a part of the Kelly Lake Government, I will continue to work tirelessly to secure the essential services our community deserves. We need safe, affordable housing for our families, which I keep pursuing. We need proper infrastructure—roads, clean water, and reliable services—to ensure a better quality of life. Most importantly, we need recognition so that our voices are heard at every level of government.  Something I will never give up on.

I am not afraid to stand up and fight for what is right. I will continue to work closely with our team and all levels of government to push for the funding and policies that support our people. I will hold decision-makers accountable and ensure that Kelly Lake is no longer overlooked.

This is more than a campaign—it’s a continued movement for our community’s future. Together, we can make Kelly Lake stronger, more independent, and finally recognized. I ask for your support to bring the change we need. Let’s keep building a future where our community is no longer left behind but finally empowered.

A little about me….

I am 46 years old and I was raised in Kelly Lake.  Born to Claire and Judy Gauthier, who lived in the community their whole lives.  My grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothy Gauthier, and Charlie and Elsie Calliou have also lived in Kelly Lake their whole lives.  My family has deep roots to Kelly Lake as they have been there since the beginning, and we are committed to making the community great again.

Unfortunately, I had to move to Dawson Creek to get an education at the age of 13 as there were no qualified educators in Kelly Lake at that time.  I stayed through middle school and graduated high school there.  I went to UNBC in Prince George to get my Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and moved back to Dawson Creek to article under Tim Schilds to become a Chartered Accountant.  I graduated in 2001 and have been a Chartered Accountant since.
