Background

Tansi, my name is Robert, but many know me by Robbie. I am of cree/tshmisian ancestry and approaching 48 years old. I was raised on our trap line with my grandparents in big slew till 5 years old then was reunited with my siblings and parents in Kelly Lak(K.L). I then attended school till 15 in K.l, in that time i was part of the almighty Kelly lake warriors.  It always gave me great pride for what we accomplished with only 5 boys in our age bracket. Other than sports, I was part of the school committee, and was a typical boy who loved catching frogs , fishing, hunting and making up games to keep  entertained. My passion for the outdoors got me to go to college and get into fish and wildlife at age 18. Sadly they canceled the course do to low enrollment. I moved to grande prairie afterwards becoming a mill shift leader. After years i decided to work for the community in the oil and gas sector as a certified faller. As a faller I got experience working with great companies such as Nehyo , Kiyanow and Nipawan. In this time, the sector was at a slow pace, therefore  decided to move to Vancouver and worked as a supervisor an exterior house detailer (9 years) but in 2021 I moved back to the area and current doing sporadic  employment with  the community as a wildlife monitor (KLFN) , and security work with Gericho.
